Yesterday I had a meeting with Alex's speech teacher and his Kindergarten teacher. His speech teacher was telling me about a story Alex told her about what he did over the long weekend (a trip to Mars) and we were laughing at all the details he came up with for his story. Then Alex's Kindergarten teacher told me about something Alex did near Thanksgiving. The kids had been learning about the Pilgrims and Thanksgiving and their assignment was to draw a picture of some Pilgrims. When Alex finished his picture he showed his teacher. His teacher told him it was a great picture, but his Pilgrim didn't have any pants on and he needed to draw some pants. She told him that Pilgrims wore either brown or black pants. Alex told her that this Pilgrim had just finished eating a big Thanksgiving dinner and was really full and took his pants off to rest. The teacher then made a comment something like "at least he didn't include the beer and football game". I told her I had no idea where he got that from because we don't ever do that at our house.
I'm sure she doesn't believe me in the least.

Ha, Ha, a real depiction of the first thanksgiving.
They got the idea from the Indians! At least the teacher now knows where he gets it from!
