Our ward had a pancake breakfast on the 3rd of July. The kids decorated their bikes/scooters in preparation for the parade. Matt was still in Finland so we were on our own for the breakfast.
As soon as we got there Alex and Aaron started coloring with the sidewalk chalk
Then it was time to eat! Lots of pancakes, fruit, sausage, syrup, muffins, danishes....what more could you ask for than a sugar induced coma at 8am??
After the breakfast we had a nice flag raising ceremony--jokes, stories and music.

It was a fun morning. Sunday we went to Shanna's house for dinner and she was nice enough to let Carter and Caroline stay for their fireworks (Alex and Aaron didn't want to see the fireworks and needed to go to sleep so Shanna drove the older kids home after they were done).
