This was our first home swim meet. After the two previous meets, we were all happy to be back at a pool that had 6 lanes and a big pool deck (it makes for very long swim meets when the pools only have 4 lanes--lots of heats for every event)

Carter's goal this meet was to earn a first place ribbon. This is the event (freestyle) that he did it!
Right after Carter got his first place ribbon, Caroline got one for freestyle as well.
Caroline was working all season to break the record in breaststroke--Coach Anna (in the white shirt) was the current record holder--so she and Caroline would always talk about it when Caroline was getting ready to swim breaststroke.
I love this picture because it just shows how much Caroline loved breaststroke--she couldn't wait to swim it.
Carter was so excited to have accomplished his goal of getting a first place ribbon. I asked him what his goal for the next meet was. His reply "To get work really hard and get 5th and 6th place ribbon so I can have one of each" (Turns out he did accomplish this goal too, and he wasn't super happy about it!)
