Spring Break Trips: Alex and Caroline

Matt didn't have any time off during spring break, so we didn't make any plans. Matt's parents and siblings ended up planning a camping trip for most of the week and invited Caroline and Alex to come along (Carter was on his 8 trip with my parents). They had a fantastic time without us--camping, hiking, building fires and playing with aunts/cousins. William was there so I knew Alex would be happy, and Caroline had Alyssa and Lexie--I'm sure they didn't even notice I wasn't there!

The group campsite they got had several Adirondack shelters--the front was open, but there were bunks for sleeping and a roof.  Caroline and William had a lot of fun organizing the cabins.  Petra and Caroline would go around and clean up the cabins with the brooms.  

One night Alex was wandering around after he had been asleep (we think he was sleepwalking)--luckily a few adults were still awake to catch him from wandering off.  After that Matt's dad slept in the doorway of shelter that Alex was in!

The fire Caroline and William built--they had a fire building contest and had to merge the fires when they got too big.
