Cloudland Canyon--Saturday, Part 2

At 6pm we went to a presentation at Cloudland Canyon on Georgia Snakes. The older kids loved it--the younger kids spent most of the time with some of the adults playing on benches outside.

After the show we came back to the cabin and talked a little with the group that did the show (they had the cabin that was next to ours). They brought out a couple of baby alligators for everyone to pet---we were happy to hear that the big and poisonous snakes were left at the center where the show was done!
We had originally planned to leave Sunday morning, but Caroline's asthma had been pretty bad since we got there (I, of course, had forgotten to bring her emergency medicine--I only brought the maintenance meds--and I felt like a horrible mom every time she coughed!) Between that, her foot pain, and the fact that, being 6 months pregnant, I wasn't sleeping well on the cots, we decided to head home late Saturday so we could sleep in our own beds and get Caroline the medicine she needed.

There was just enough time to have a nice campfire and roast some marshmallows before we needed to leave.

(this picture was at the beginning of the campfire--just waiting for the fire to die down a little to roast marshmallows--I love it because everyone looks totally miserable...)

Some happier pictures...

The drive home was nice--much faster (only taking about 2 hrs 45 min)--of course I can only remember the one hour that I was driving--luckily Matt was able to stay awake the entire time and take over most of the driving. We arrived home right at midnight.
