Saturday we were not so lucky with getting to "sleep in". About 4:30am Alex woke up and Matt was working on getting him back to sleep--I was awake, but usually if I help then the kids think it is time to wake up--for some reason they sleep better if they don't know I'm there (ok--I sleep better too!). Anyway, about 5am Alex was almost back asleep when there was a large thump and lots of screaming. I turned on the light and we found Caroline on the floor. Matt tried to get her to go back to sleep, but she was screaming so much and there were so many people still trying to sleep in the other rooms that we didn't want to try it too long....so we moved her and Alex (now totally awake) to the main room and we pulled out our secret weapon--the portable dvd player. Lisa was up with Ellie so she and I talked/dozed while my kids watched the dvd and Ellie did her best not to go to sleep.
The plan was to go to Chattanooga for the morning/early afternoon. We wanted to leave at 9....ended up leaving about 9:40. We went with Russ & Catherine and crew to the Children's Museum (the kids have been here
before and LOVED it). Others went to the IMAX or on a river cruise. The kids, once again, loved the museum.
We took a break at lunch to eat near the Aquarium
then the kids spent an hour or so and played in the wading pools there...
We went back to the Children's museum for a couple hours after lunch then headed back to the cabin. Caroline pretty much limped the entire day--but her foot did not slow her down!
