Last week of summer: Piano and Swimming

Monday we started out the week with a bang....or several bangs!  The kids had piano lessons in the morning, and, much to their dismay, I had not canceled the lesson despite the fact that there were only 7 days left until school started.

After piano we met Shanna and her kids for swimming at our neighborhood pool.  I really should have brought my camera on one of our many pool trips....but, I didn't.  After seeing how Alex and Carter did with swimming lessons when they were little, I've changed up my strategy with Aaron, and I seem to be getting it right.  Isn't that how it works, you finally figure out how to do something and you don't need it anymore.

Anyway, Carter took so long to feel comfortable swimming with his face in the water, and Alex still hates it, so I decided to start Aaron early with going under water...so this summer, every time we swim, Aaron gets dunked 2-4 times.  He doesn't like it, but he doesn't hate it like he did at the beginning of the summer.  He also loves to lay on his stomach, blow bubbles, and kick his legs (either on the top step, or with me holding him)..it is pretty cute.

It was fun to play at the pool, one last time before school (a common theme for me this week--last trip to target before school starts, last day at the pool...)
