My theory panned out

Saturday we dropped Matt off at the airport for another trip to Finland.  On the way home Caroline said to me "This has been a great summer--one of the best".  I started thinking of all the things we did this summer (esp Caroline)--horse riding lessons, ice skating camp, basketball camp, swim team, countless times at the pool, etc., etc.

I asked her what she liked best about summer.  Her reply: when we went to Dahlonega.  Anything else I asked?  Yeah, bowling.

I asked Carter and Alex what they liked best about this summer:  Carter said Chuck E Cheese and bowling, and Alex said Monkey Joes.

So, my theory has been proven true--it really doesn't matter what you do the entire summer....just do a lot that last week, and you have been a terrific mom, and the kids had a fantastic summer.  It isn't about quality or quantity, just timing!

Good job! Winston told me as he went to bed last night that this was the best summer ever.
