We started by sleeping in (well, as much as you sleep in with little kids and a puppy--I think it was 7:00 before we got out of bed). We spent the morning wrapping presents (a big move up for us--usually we don't start wrapping anything until 8pm on Christmas Eve, ensuring a 3am bedtime for parents!). We had a family song practice for our musical number in church on Christmas (more on that later), then headed home for more wrapping.
We invited some friends over for an early dinner--it was fun to have another family to talk to and the kids had fun playing. For dessert the kids decorated some cookies (or maybe I should say had a cookie with their sprinkles)
After our friends went home and we cleaned up and changed into pajamas, we worked on chocolate pretzels for Santa.
We've been buying Christmas shaped pretzels (trees, bells, and stars) and dipping them in chocolate for Santa since Caroline was 2
Alex had been asking Santa for 52 video cameras so he could set them up and record what happened when Santa came, but the camera's didn't show up so the kids went to bed and hoped for the best!
