Disney Vacation: Epcot

We got up and got ready for Epcot--we decided to drive here instead of riding the bus. I think my time estimates for leaving were more on the bus timeline because we got to Epcot....first!  Matt was not convinced that I didn't do this on purpose. As luck (I think) would have it--we were picked as family of the day to open Epcot! Let me just say, this does not compare to Magic Kingdom! Basically we got to go inside the turnstiles and take pictures (in the area in front of the turnstiles).
The kids did get to play bubbles! (thought it seemed a little weird with all the people behind the turnstiles watching)
We had a very long time to take pictures--a really, really long time
After the park opened we had a chance to say hi to Mickey Mouse
We had a great day at Epcot--rode all the rides we wanted as many times as we wanted.  The kids had fun at the Coral Reef Restaurant we ate lunch at (a large aquarium inside the restaurant).  We had decided to skip the stroller this trip because Aaron was the only one that needed it--it worked great until today when Matt and I were both sunburned on our shoulders and it made carrying him a little painful! We ended the day by stopping to see Mickey and Friends one last time--Alex was sad he hadn't even met Goofy and Aaron wanted to say hi to Mickey one more time.

We got back to the cabin, ate dinner and fell into bed!
The next morning we checked out of the hotel and did the one thing that the kids had been asking for over and over--ride the monorail!  After riding the monorail for a loop around the resorts, we headed home...the drive back home was remarkably uneventful and we were all happy to be home!
